Let me make it straight: AI Decisioning and Agentic will N⛔T deliver value for enterprise without Decision Intelligence Architecture.
The first milestone for enterprise must be to establish the “Intelligence Core”.
💢The general belief is that MachineLearning techniques such as LLMs and Transformers architecture will create the intelligence in organizations using general-purpose AI, have always dreamed about.
The irony is that so much time, effort, and money is collectively put toward making these technologies reliable, trustworthy, hallucination-free, safe, and compliant for enterprise organizations.
✨It is time to get back to reality. Decision Intelligence is ai for decision-making in organizations. The set of techniques within this field of ai is reliable for organizations to apply in the most critical operations and they are trustworthy, safe, explainable, and scalable by nature.
💡The DecisionIntelligence Architecture defines 5 layers of intelligence in organizations, each of which is a prerequisite of the next layer.
1️⃣ Knowledge Core: This is the core foundation of organizational knowledge. It captures the domain terminologies, language, definitions, concepts, facts, and, more importantly, business decisions that organizations make and execute.
2️⃣ Intelligence Core: This layer is a Symbolic AI that allows the buildup of core intelligence that is 100% explainable, reliable, and safe to deploy to critical operations.
3️⃣ Expert Intelligence: On top of the previous layer, it enables organizations to build intelligence that interacts with their environment, senses events, captures data, and processes them through the Intelligence Core while ensuring the decisions' outcomes are optimized based on business objectives.
4️⃣ Cognitive Intelligence: It is based on Neuro-symbolic AI, which allows organizations to build a composite AI model based on a previous layer that uses machine learning, deep learning, and symbolic reasoning to take advantage of the best of both worlds.
5️⃣ Autonomous Intelligence: This enables organizations to build intelligence on top of the previous layer, enabling systems to learn and adapt to changing and dynamic environments with a full capacity of reasoning, planning, etc., inherited from previous layers.
💣Using data to create intelligence is lazy, expensive, and not suitable for critical operations in any organization, no matter how much data you collect and process or throw money at the problem. Use Decision Intelligence Architecture as your guide to intelligence maturity.
